5 Tips for Healthy Glowing Skin from Ronni Hawk

Hey cuties! 🐱It’s Ronni, and today we’re talking about all things skincare.

Did you know that your skin is your largest organ? It’s wild, I know! Between wearing makeup all day on set, dealing with unpredictable breakouts, going to the beach, and all the other things I love to do, my skin goes through a lot.

Thankfully, I don’t have to choose between my busy schedule and clear skin. And neither do you! I’ve found some really fabulous ways to help keep my skin fresh and glowing. Check out these ideas:

          1. Take Care of Your Skin from the Inside
Guys, you gotta hydrate! This is way important to keep your skin glowing. Not only does this help you avoid dry skin, but it also helps flush out any toxins. Is your skin sensitive or acne-prone? Another way to keep your skin clear is to feed your skin fresh, whole foods. Avoid processed foods and excess sugar that can cause breakouts and uneven skin tone.

2. Use a Daily Moisturizer
I wash my face twice a day with the Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser. It’s great because it gets rid of dirt and oils but it’s super sensitive on my skin. After I wash, it’s time for moisturizer! Don’t forget this step because it helps rehydrate your skin and avoids premature aging.

3. Don’t Go to Bed with Makeup On
Alright, comment below if you’re guilty of this because I know I am. I admit I totally used to doze off with a full face of makeup on. Not only does this ruin your pillows and sheets but it clogs your pores. Can we say “ew?” 🤢Before I go to bed, I use Neutrogena’s makeup remover cleansing towelettes. These wipes even remove waterproof makeup, smell great, and are super affordable.

4. Cover Up Your Breakout with Acne Friendly Concealer
Remember, breakouts happen but they shouldn’t ruin your day. I try my best to not pick at pimples. Instead, I cover them up with Bare Minerals’ Matte Foundation. The lightweight formula won’t clog your pores and controls excess oil that could aggravate a breakout. It also has SPF 15, so you can get your vitamin D without worrying about harmful UVA/UVB rays.

5. Go Makeup Free During the Week
I know this might sound crazy but hear me out. I love going makeup free when I’m not on set or on the red carpet. You gotta let your skin breathe every once in a while. Plus, if your skin is glowing, why cover it up?

It doesn’t take a lot to keep your skin clear, you just have to make the effort (and maybe a quick Target run). At first it might take a bit of getting used to, but these easy tips can help you have the best #IWokeUpLikeThis selfie. 💁‍♀
